FIELD ACCEPTANCE TEST · CHECKLIST
ONE Desk v1.4.13 customer validation
Use this supervised checklist with two authorized Windows computers on the same private LAN. Results should be recorded before any paid commercial rollout.
Keep an independent RDP or local keyboard recovery path. Do not test on a production-critical workstation. The current installer is an unsigned pilot.
Test environment
- Record Windows edition, active user session, monitor count and screen resolution on each computer.
- Record source and target ONE Desk version, whether both machines are on the same network, and whether Windows RDP is open.
- Confirm target station ID and expected administrator identity before approval.
Acceptance criteria
- Install and open: the installer completes; the Quick Connect window appears; the target is discoverable or accepts its private IPv4 address.
- Security: deny a permission request and confirm no screen or input access is granted.
- Approval: permit View Only; confirm desktop frames appear but no remote input works.
- Full Control: approve again; confirm cursor movement, left/right click, drag-and-drop, wheel scroll and keyboard letters, Enter, Backspace, Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V.
- Screen: verify no black image, partial display, unexpected resolution change or unresponsive freeze for a 15-minute supervised session.
- Multi-monitor: on a test endpoint with two monitors visible to Windows, confirm both are captured. Record RDP-derived monitor limitations separately.
- Disconnect: disconnect from the remote session indicator and from the Quick Connect interface; verify that screen and input stop immediately.
- Reconnect: establish a new approved session after disconnect; avoid duplicate or orphan connections.
- Upgrade and uninstall: reinstall the same release without losing enrollment unexpectedly, and verify Windows Apps uninstallation with settings retention.
Pass condition
Commercial support claims should remain gated until the above checks pass on several independent Windows machines and network setups, and results are recorded for engineering review. Website-only tests do not count as desktop acceptance.
